[Getting DVRaptor connected... by Eric, The Netherlands]
My system...         My videos...

To cover the different DVRaptor set-ups I have divided them into 2 x 5 groups. Below you see a list for both "composite" and "S-video". Click on your set-up to see the right way for connecting things, or just browse through the diagrams below.

COMPOSITE SET-UPS S-VIDEO SET-UPS
#1. DVRaptor + soundcard #6. DVRaptor + soundcard
#2. DVRaptor + TV-monitor #7. DVRaptor + TV-monitor
#3. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + soundcard #8. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + soundcard
#4. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + analog VCR #9. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + analog VCR
#5. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + analog VCR + soundcard #10. DVRaptor + TV-monitor + analog VCR + soundcard

It's very well possible you got things working with a different set-up, since the diagrams are only a "basic guideline". Please let me know if you've found alternatives that work too.

Note: Instead of using the "video-out" of DVRaptor you could also use the "video-out" of the DV-device (or analog VCR, if used) to provide a video signal for the TV-monitor.

NOTE: To prevent the analog VCR recording other "PC-sounds" one could choose to input the
outcoming sound from the DV-device into the analog VCR first, and from there go to the soundcard.

NOTE: You can only use this set-up if the TV-monitor can handle a S-video signal.
As an alternative you could use the "composite out" of the DV-device to provide a signal for the TV-monitor.
